At the Troy Gilbert Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (TGE PTO), our mission is to support the educational success and well-being of every child at our school. We do this by building strong partnerships between home and school, supporting our dedicated teachers and staff, and enriching the learning environment through volunteer efforts, fundraising, and programs that go beyond what district funding provides.
Through donations and fundraising events, we’re able to fund important initiatives like student incentives, classroom supplies, staff appreciation, and community outreach. We also help strengthen communication between parents, teachers, and students—bringing our school family closer together.
There are no membership fees to join, participate, or contribute. Whether you’re looking to get involved in a big way or simply lend a hand, there’s a place for everyone in the TGE PTO.
We’re looking forward to an exciting year full of support, connection, and fun! Interested in volunteering, joining the board, or just learning more? We’d love to hear from you!

Suzanne Morrell here! Thank you for welcoming me as your new LTH/TGE PTO President! I have been involved in parent/teacher organizations for the past 5 years, but this is my second year at LTH/TGE. I am a CT Technologist by day, a substitute teacher in my “spare time,” and Mom to a fifth grader here at TGE. We are a big soccer family (go SD Wave!), we have 4 border collies, a kitty, a couple of horses and ducks. Our favorite AZ adventures are floating the Salt and hiking around the White Tanks.
I can’t wait to roll out some new events and ideas alongside our big move to a new school!
PTO Treasurer & Secretary [2025-Present]

Hello and welcome! I'm Nadine Sellers—proud mom of three amazing boys and a continuing PTO Board member from the LTHMS PTO. I work full-time at Estrella Mountain Community College and first joined the PTO two years ago when my oldest son started 6th grade at L. Thomas Heck. Now that he's in 8th grade and part of the final graduating class at LTH, I’m excited to help guide the transition from LTH PTO to the new TGE PTO as we prepare for the move to the new campus next year. I’m looking forward to helping build a strong, vibrant PTO community at TGE—and I can’t wait to partner with the teachers and meet all the wonderful kiddos this year!

Hello! I'm Courtney Smith, 2nd grade teacher at TGE and the teacher liaison for our wonderful PTO. I have three children that attend TGE; Kiera-6th grade, Owen-4th grade, and Noah-2nd grade. My husband also teaches at TGE - Mr. Smith is the 6th grade match and science teacher.
This is my first yeat at TGE but I've been on PTO boards for the last three years. I'm excited to be part of the start of the TGE PTO and can't wait to have a great year.
